Hey, Nashville!
Meet Your Hosts
Brad Bates
Co-Founder / Owner
Podcast Coordinator / Producer / Writer
Brad is no stranger to music OR podcasting.
His musical journey began in elementary school when his grandmother and mother taught him how to play the piano. Then in middle school he picked up the trumpet, and then in high school he transitioned to becoming a singer / songwriter. He's been writing and recording music ever since. You can find his music on SoundCloud at: https://soundcloud.com/bradbatesmusic
His musical interests include everything from Enya, to Folk, to Rock, to EDM, and more. In other words, there's very few musical genres Brad isn't into. You name it, he probably likes it.
His musical talents include: song writing, singing, guitar, drums, bass, keys, trumpet, french horn, ukulele, and any other instrument he decides to get his hands on. The list is still growing.
In 2020, Brad went to Nashville to record "Yours" alongside his oldest daughter Rhylee (who was 10 at the time). You can find this song here: https://soundcloud.com/bradbatesmusic/sets/yours OR you can find it on just about every streaming platform out there. Feel free to find it on Spotify or Apple Music and buy it (it only costs $.99 - no pressure though!).
Brad got his start in podcasting in 2019 when he co-hosted the "Angry Christian Podcast" (don't let the name fool you - it's about NOT being an angry Christian) with a group of friends who all struggled with anger and found an outlet to explore how to be better Christians. The podcast transitioned to becoming the Eager4Truth Podcast for a time and has been on hiatus since 2022.
During that time he also did a Blogcast for the "Angry Christian Podcast", as well as a podcast with his friend Jonathan Hamlett called "Dark Classics" geared toward music and narration of classic scary short stories. You can find that one here: https://darkclassicspodcas.wixsite.com/darkclassics
He's very interested in helping other musicians find a voice in this oversaturated musical world we find ourselves. Thus his partnership with Ed Farr on this podcast, "Hey, Nashville!"
Eddie is also no stranger to music.
His musical journey began over thirty years ago as a young kid. His dad taught him how to play the guitar and he soon began writing his own music. He has recorded in Nashville with professional musicians known for traveling with many hit artists.
Eddie primarily knows country music, but he doesn’t have a favorite genre. His musical interests go from Hank Williams, Eric Church, Queen, the Goo Goo Dolls, Gavin Degraw, and many more.

Eddie's music was first published in 2004 when he made the front page of the Stagehand. In 2009, Eddie moved to Nashville where he showcased his work at writer’s nights and focused on his writing. It was at this time, he recorded several of his own songs.

Like his co-creator Brad Bates, Eddie has a passion for helping others. He is hopeful that this partnership with Brad will provide them with the ability to help you be heard by the right people.
